GL2 install idea

It might be a good idea to make the installation process similair to that of Joomla. It may cause less confusion. I have used geeklog on a sports fan network, I loved it. But I cant make heads or tails out of the installation process for my own site. I know I have to manually go in and change information, but it would be cool if a menu with a step by step process came up.

We have some Alternative installation instructions that you could try.
Earlier this year, we've outlined some ideas for improving the installation process (you need to be logged in to see that page). We were applying for Google's Summer of Code program at the time and this was going to be one of the proposals. Unfortunately, we weren't accepted.
bye, Dirk
