I had the default topic also set as the default topic for archiving older stories. This was a little confusing due to separation of stories and so I created a new topic (called Archive) and set this as the default for archiving the old stories.

I edited the original topic that was the defaut archive to remove this as the default archive. But nowhere do I have "Older Stories" showing as a block (I think this may have been a problem before). I've tried enabling the block, disabling it, changing from the left, to right, etc. No joy, it just does not show.

But at least with a topic specifically set for old stories, there's a place for them that can be selected. But is there a fix for the missing block?

I'm Running version 1.4.0sr2. All users have to be logged in (no anonymous content), otherwise static pages filter them to instructions on how to register.
