stories and time question

is there a delay period automatically for stories appearing on the front page?

When I go to the stories and create a new story, the date and the time match the date and time that is shown at the top of my site exactly to the minute...yet when I save that story will not appear on the front page.

I have to go back and back date it to and earlier day or time in order for it to appear.

So why is it not appearing if the time I create it is the same time on the site and the same time I am typing it? what do I need to do to resolve that? I am EST and the automatic clock at the top of the page with the date and clock reflect that...

So any help and advice appreciated..get's hold having to backdate stories just to get them to appear..thanks..t

Is it possible that the database server is using a different time, e.g. because it's running on another machine where the time is off?

bye, Dirk

Hmm, so is your MySQL server in a different timezone from your webserver? Otherwise, the time on the site should also be off.

Anyway, try out the timezone hack.

bye, Dirk
