No idea what you're talking about - geeklog.net doesn't even use any meta tags ...

bye, Dirk

on the top of the browser for example on the

demo site there is a line at the top of the browser
geeklog demo site - try out geeklog here...........

general news page has the following title
geeklog demo site - general news

etc etc

each page has different title on the top - that is called meta title tag if you look at your in html

and with my site each page displays the same line on the top, why???

Dirk, you need someone who know SEO on your team, I can provide you with info and help because I like the geeklog site and I want it to improve, it is really good but has now SEO integrated and is not SEO friendly.

If you need help contact me and I will help but first tell me why is my site not picking up title of the articles and set it up as a meta title in head.

No, it's not. It's the HTML title tag. A meta tag is something else entirely.

And that behavior is nothing special - it has been in Geeklog since day 1.

Your site seems to do exactly the same, from what I can see.

LOL. So you're believing some random person more than the actual HTML specifications I linked you to. Okay ...

Personally, I think that "SEO" is mostly snake oil. There are a few simple rules to follow, and everything after that is just a waste of time (and money).

I talked with some SEOs and they all miss unique descriptions meta that is set for each page, not for all the sites

I do not beleive that is so hard to implement at all probably you should put just
{metadesc} for example it the body of the articles and geeklog should pick it up
is this going to take so much money?

about the snake oil comment

And why are some leading companieds have a team of SEOs and they spend thousands of usd per month, the numbers goes into few 10000 per month

because it is a snake oil??
well it is your call

I am just sad that you are thinking this way dirk
