Hi all,

I want to have a system on my website where users can upload files, and search for them by name, category and tags. I don't want the entire website to be run by a CMS, just this little section (or, if not a CMS, some type of easy-to-use software)

In particular, I'm trying to create an open-source code repository, so I want users to be able to upload zip files of code. In a perfect world, they would also be able to upload newer versions of the code, with the old versions still visible, but this isn't necessary.

Can I use Geeklog for such a system? Or anyone know of any other CMS-type system (or any software at all) that will allow me to add such a feature to my site?

I think most small CMS can do that. Geeklog like others use a plugin for that purpose. Maybe compare here: www.opensourcecms.com
