databse backup + remote server

I found and used a script from this site to backup my , mysql database using php, and let me say thanks you for it. Its a great script.
I have one question that is sort of related,
I would like to backup a databse on a remote server. Save the file to that server but run the action from my home computer.
Instead of using local host what would i have to use?
any help would be greatly apprecatied
