in the commando and marine themes (that are available on the forums at geeklog.net) the side bottons change colors as they get scrolled over. And once clicked they change to a differnt color. you can check it out here http://demo.geeklog.net/index.php just choose marine.

anyway my question is whre the codes for the dynamic buttons can be found since the commando and marine themes are not updated, i would like to use that functionality on the profession theme.

The "code" is in the ccs file with the class .boption. You wil need to copy this class and make a modification of the blockheader-xxx.thtml
