re: phpbb bridge usergroups

Hi, I have a fresh install of geekllog with a fresh install of the latest phpbb bridge.
They both work fine and the bridge has imported geeklog's user database.
However, my problem is that the groups from geeklog do not import/update in phpbb which is a real pain in the ass because it means I have to create groups manually in phpbb and then manually add users to each group each time a new user joins my site.
Is there anyway for phpbb to share the same groups as geeklog so that I only have to edit each user's access rights once i.e. just in geeklog?
If not, is there any other forums that have had a bridge created for geeklog that import users and groups?
Thanks in advance!
Harry
P.S. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to make geeklog such a great weblog system!
