Hello Friends,
I am looking for a CMS that suits my needs. I am trying to make a site about rape survivers. I would like to make a section that allows users to submit their recovery story and allow users to browse the stories in by name-alphabetical order. (kind of like postnukes article section). I am wondering if this CMS can allow me to do this. Before I get flamed and have people tell me to install the CMS and find out for myself. The truth is there are so many CMS out there and installing every one to find what suits my needs can be exausting. Simply the people who know this CMS the most can help me and just save me tons of time.
Thank you

I believe you can do what you want using geeklog. Take a look on the lefthand side at the blocks, and you will see a block called Sections ( header can be renamed) and each one has there own area. In the config you look under Topic Settings and change the default to alpha instead of it saying sortnum. The individual stories within the topic are sorted by date posted. I'm not sure if that sort order can be changed to user name post sort order or not.

Quote by andyac: how do i make a block that has a link to have users submit stories? I dont see sections at all anywhere. all i see is topics, Admins Only, User Functions
If follow you correctly on this. Look in the Admin section under topics and you can modify/create new topics. If you are looking for a plain ol block that has links in it, open your html editor and create the links and then copy the code over to Admin/blocks. You may need to create a new block and insert the code into Block Content window and name the block accordingly and also change the block type to Normal Block.
