HTML filtered out of RSS feeds

I'm running a site with Geeklog 1.3.11sr1, and I just started playing around with getting the feeds working.
When I opened it up in my RSS viewer though, the paragraphs would all run together on one line, lists would be ignored, etc. I opened up the .rss file with a text editor to see what was wrong, and realized all the HTML tags are filtered out of the entries. How can I fix it to include them?

Out of the box, Geeklog 1.3.11 only support RSS 0.91 which does not support HTML content. You could download Mike's feed writer classes (in the downloads section somewhere) that include a RSS 2.0 class or upgrade to Geeklog 1.4.0 which already comes with RSS 2.0 support.
And the standard advice: In your own interest, please upgrade your Geeklog install to at least the latest 1.3.11 security release ASAP.
bye, Dirk

Thanks. I have looked into the RSS 2.0 class, but it still has the same problem.
I'll just have to wait until I have the time to update.
Thanks for your help.

Hmm, now that you mention it - that may very well be a limitation of Geeklog 1.3.11.
The entire syndication layer was rewritten for 1.4.0 and now supports HTML in RSS 2.0 feeds (as you can see from the feed on this very site).
bye, Dirk
