Google ad in block

Just curious, is it possible to place a scrit in a block. If not what are my options for putting an ad on the side bar area...I did see the Iowa geeklog setup like this.

As an FYI... if you prefer a clean look to your main page,and do not want to have google ads in your blocks, you can put them in your templates. For instance, the only time anyone sees a good add on my site is when they click to read a story. I edited the article.thtml to accomplish this in the layout/article directory. That is just one example.

JavaScripts work just fine in blocks. Depending on the script, you may also have to add some code to your theme's header.thtml file.

Also try a search for "google ads" ...
