This started as a project to migrate my websites from fedora core 4 to fedora core 5 on a different machine.
As the site is broken right now, it's hard to tell what I have installed, but I tend to archive the packages I've installed, and the archive indicates that I had installed geeklog 1.3.11sr2, gallery-2.0.2-full, GL_Gallery2_0.4.2_1.3.11
I read an article that one should do the individual upgrades first before attempting to move the site. I decided to upgrade gallery first on the old machine.
So, I successfully upgraded gallery to 2.1.2-full and it works fine.
It's easy to see in retrospect that I should have uninstalled the gl_gallery plugin first.
I can't get anything out of geeklog except:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/html/sailorspoon/plugins/GL_Gallery2/functions.inc on line 624
I can't uninstall the plugin through the web interface because I can't log into the site.
I can't easily back out the changes. I have a backup of the mysql database, (of course) but it's the database for several websites and would be a pain to recover. Before I embark on that, I'd like to ask if there's any way to uninstall the gl_gallery plugin manually.
Thanks.
Ron

Go into your website's database (using phpMyAdmin or whatever else you have handy) and disable the Gallery plugin there. In the gl_plugins table, find its entry and set 'pi_enabled' to 0. That should get the site back up (minus the Gallery).
