Fatal Forum Error

I installed the forum plugin properly and I made all the subforums and etc...
but when I go to post a new topic, the following error comes back:
Warning: main(PHP/Compat.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/mywebsite.com/forum/include/gf_showtopic.php on line 39
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'PHP/Compat.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php'
in /hsphere/local/home/mywebsite.com/forum/include/gf_showtopic.php on line 39
can anybody help me?
