I have problem with the layout being stripped off some key tables. Not that I can't put them back in, but just want to bring to your attention that the over use of the "div"s makes some parts of the layout become disjointed.
For example, if you happen to put an image or some content that is wider than the normal width of the story, it would stretch the story container out WITHOUT stretching the header and footer, and that makes the site look very ugly. It could happen with the calendar plugin too, which tend to need more space.
If I create a site with 800 width, the problem would become more obvious.
Two questions, who much speed we are gainning byremoving these tables, considering today's growing speed of Internet connection?
Is there a way to keep the integrity of the layout without using the tables? For example, is there a CSS code that would keep the content from not spanning outside of the site's "body" width?
