Fatal error: Call to undefined function: preg_quote() in /usr/local/www/data/geeklog/system/classes/template.class.php on line 859
I recieve this error after step one of the installation. I have checked and double checked the config.php and lib-common.php files. I've tried it with php4 and php5 with mysql4-server. I've installed geeklog from the download and from FreeBSD ports. I'm not sure what else to do.
Thanks for any help.

That's really weird since preg_quote has been around since php3 according to php.net. If you are on a hosted website, make a php file with just the preg_quote call (something like <?PHP echo preg_quote("Hello world"); ?> ) and if there error still occurs, complain to your host provider that something is wrong with their php installation since it is requires a conscience effeort to compile php without PCRE support.
