So I got a bot ( or something ) that seems to have successfully registered a new user, at least partially. I know it is a bot or something because GUS reports that the only page accessed was a POST on the users.php page. and the same IP has consistantly tried to run some remote scripts, I think without success.

anyway, the user has made it into the database, but I didn't get any notification of a new user registering like I always do being the admin. ...and this new user wasn't added to any user groups like all new users are. What the heck?

So I go to delete this new user and all I get is an error message: "The new password does not match the confirmation password!" Currently I run GL 1.4.0sr5 and assume this is a theme issue, though I've never had this issue before and have run this version since it came out with users registered, edited, deleted, etc. without issue.

any direction you can point me in is appreciated.

Refer to the list of theme changes. And for the bots, there's the CAPTCHA plugin.
