I'm nearly done with the setup of a new site using GL, and I'm pretty excited to have gotten most of it done by myself. I do have one question regarding maximum length of story titles.

My clients are wordy. They have a couple of press releases with extremely long titles, and the full story title is not displaying - I'm running out of characters.

Where do I go to increase the maximum length of story titles? TIA.

The story title is defined as a VARCHAR( 128 ) in the database. You could go up to 255 characters if you change that and all the templates. If you need even more, you would have to change it to a TEXT type.

I just went into the story editor files in the Professional theme and changed the vaules for story title there, and that seems to have done the trick.



The full title I needed to display is now showing in full. I doubt they'd ever get to a 400-charater story title, but I want to be prepared.
