I have another problem, before we let our current forum members know the url to our Geeklog, I want to make sure everything is working ok obviously, the problem I have is that neither my co-admins, or the member helping me to test the Geeklog & upload things, had their activation emails with their password, so I had to activate their membership myself, this is probably a stupid question & I'm probably going to feel totally silly, but I've looked everywhere for how to make sure members get an email with their password in it, but can't find anything.

Also, another problem I have (which isn't 'too' bad is that every time I login, I have to click on the logo to refresh the page before I'm actually logged in.

Have you tried this FAQ entry? Configuring email (Geeklog 1.3.9 and newer versions)

Also this has been discussed previously in the forum mail doesn't work. Try other combinations in the search box.

Did you check that in config.php?
$_CONF['usersubmission'] = 1; // 1 = new users must be approved

Set it to 0 instead of 1!

I have to click on the logo to refresh
That is certainly not normal. Which browser and version is this?

I use MSN Explorer 9.0 or Internet Explorer 6, it happens in both browsers, I have the other problem fixed, I did have it set to new users must be approved, so I've reset that to 0 now.

If new users don`t have to be approved anymore you may want to look for the captcha plugin.

I recommend cross checking with FireFox2 if it is a browser problem. And try working without any password automatic of your browser.
