I have geeklog finally up and running fairly nice on a couple of servers.. I have a question about a setup using Mac OS X server on a closed airport network.. this is a simple setup and other computers connecting to the network can reach the server by going to computername.local .. My question is about the cookie domain section of the config.php file.. can you use the static ip address here or would it be better to use .computername.local ?

Thank you for you help in advance !

Strictly speaking, IP addresses are not allowed as the cookie domain. It does work most of the time, though.

Also, when you leave that setting empty, Geeklog will automatically use '.computername.local ' anyway (derived from $_CONF['site_url'], so I'm assuming you've set that to 'http://computername.local'Wink.

bye, Dirk
