Hey guys,

I've been getting this message on my admin login page.

You have exceeded the number of allowed login attempts. Please try again later.

There is no way it's valid because I get it even though I haven't tried to log in in days. It's the same things with every user name I tried over the last couple of days. I'm getting desperate and exasperated because I haven't been able to log in to update my site in a week. What is going on with my geeklog? Is there any way to shortcircuit this mechanism?

Try clearing your site's gl_speedlimit table, i.e. remove all the entries from that table.
