Switching domain names - database/content?

Hi.
This is part 2 of my questions on switching domain names (first one was here).
I'm planning on doing this to move my website to a new domain name. Will it work?
-download all files from the current domain
-backup the database
-upload all of the files to the new domain (and making the necessary CHMOD changes)
-open the database file in a plain text editor and replace all instances of the old domain name with the new domain name
-dump the updated database file into the database for the new domain
Afterwards, I would need to redirect people from the old domain to the new one.
It seems too simple...am I missing anything?
Thanks.
Julianna

Oops. I didn't notice it also dealt with URL changes. Thanks.
