After a user gets the "forgot password" email, they click the link, they enter a new password, and the screen just keeps refreshing. The password is never changed and a confirmation screen/message never appears.

I'm unsure what to look at to diagnose this issue. It happened after I upgraded.

What does "keeps refreshing" mean? It reloads the page over and over all by itself?

Also: Upgrading from what to what? Did you update your theme?

If they press the button to apply the changes, the page just refreshes. No changes are made. It refreshes just the one time. It appears it might apply the changes or do something, but the same page just reappears. I believe I've updated all of the template files, it appears this page is managed by the users.php file? If not, perhaps I have not updated the correct template file. Can you let me know what template file handles this? Thanks

That would be users/newpassword.thtml. But it looks like it only got cosmetic changes in 1.4.1.

In any case, it would be worth trying it with the Professional theme, just to check if it really is a theme issue.

Thank you! That worked. The template file I was using only had 1 field to enter the new password, the new one has two.

Ah, okay. The confirmation field was added back in 1.4.0 and since you didn't state what your old version was ...
