Moving Site to new Domain

I need to switch from one domain to another and would assume that it's not a simple as copy and paste contents...right? The current version I have is 1.4.0sr5-1. I guess if I have to do a new installation, what would be the best way to transfer my user contents over? Through my back up file? Thanks in advance.

Is it just another domain or a new server?

If it is cpanel you may move a full account to the new hoster / server.

I'm staying on the same server, just going to a new domain.
www.currentdomain.com
to
www.newdomain.com
Please tell me it's easy.
