I currently have my post-per-page set to 10, but my 6th post went to page two and doesn't even give the option at the bottom of the post to go to the next page. It does show the pages (total of 2) on the topics page, but again not the post page. here's what I have installed;
Installed Version: 2.6
Code Version: 2.6
Geeklog Version: 1.4

I remember such an error. You should use the latest forum plugin.
