I put the "loginrequired" setting to "1" and thought this would do the trick to keep anonymous users out of my "current events" (calandar listings on the front page), but they can still view and access this. I really want to make this site like fort knox. Majority (80%) of the site accepts the reg. user login. But is there a way to make all areas 100%?

Thank you.

*I really like those icons for posting to the left ( :twocents: ) <---these, where can I find them to add to my forums?

The icons on the left are the "mood" drop down above. You can see it in preview.

You can change the access rights of each event. Tick off "guests".

Setting $_CONF['loginrequired'] = 1 should really keep anonymous users out of pretty much everything (apart from stories). If it doesn't do that for the calendar, then that would be a bug.

There's also a separate option for keeping anonymous users out in the calendar's config.php file:
Text Formatted Code
// when set to 1 will only allow logged-in users to view the list of past events
// (also see $_CONF['loginrequired'] in Geeklog's config.php)
$_CA_CONF['calendarloginrequired']   = 0;

See if that helps.

bye, Dirk

You guys are the best. I went ahead and checked off "anonymous" inside the block settings, and whala! Fort Knox is alive and well.

I still dont know where to get the extra icons (outside of the preinstalled ones).

There's an extension for the Forum that lets you add more smilies. I think it's actually part of the glMessenger plugin. Should be available from Blaine's site.

The actual smilies can be found all over the web. Need more dancing bananas?

bye, Dirk
