Greetings -
Overall, I like the improved manageability of the Professional theme since it has been modified to utilize .CSS/div vs. table formats, however I cannot seem to modify the formatting of block titles from the CSS.
Standard disclaimer: I am much more .php than .css/.html/.thtml, and the cause of this problem may be a loose nut behind the keyboard.
My mission is simple: to decrease the amount of spacing/padding above and below left/right/center block titles. I tried modifying the following section of style.css:
.block-title,
.blocktitle,
.block-title-left,
.block-title-right {
background:transparent;
color:#1A3955;
font-weight:bold;
padding-top:5px;
padding-bottom:5px;
text-align:left;
}
Here's the thing - changing any of the elements here has zero effect on block formatting. Just to be sure, I grep'd for 'blocktitle' and 'block-title', and got only a single 'hit' for 'blocktitle' in blockheader-message.thtml. It doesn't appear that the 'block-title*' classes are used in any file in the theme tree.
I bet the amount of whitespace I am seeing now is default spacing/padding associated with the use of the div's.
I've searched the forum, but haven't found anything resembling a complaint/suggestion/solution regarding this.
I'm still searching for the answer myself, but can anyone tell me what file(s) should be modified to refer to this class so that I can reformat left/right/center block titles utilizing these classes?
I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I really am trying to understand this aspect of GL. If I find the answer myself, I will post it back here so that others may benefit.
Thanks, and best regards.
