Hi all,
For a while now I've run my site wthout giving users the ability to submit stories. Now I want them to be able to do so but I have a bit of a problem.
I have a set of topics that I've been using as the admin to post articles to the front page. Now that I want users to be able to submit stories, I need a whole raft of new topics BUT I don't want them to be able to use those that are for stories on the front page.
Is it possible to have two sets of topics? One for Admins and another for Users?
Thanks!

This is almost an FAQ ...
Geeklog's mantra is that if can see a topic, you can submit stories there. For normal users, those would end up in the submission queue. Users with the story.submit permission (such as Story Admins) would bypass the submission queue, though.
A sort of "read-only topic" has been suggested but not implemented yet.
bye, Dirk

Actually there is a hack for read only topics in the downloads area. But it is a real hack. With changing code in various places so only try if you are brave.
