Moving to new host and updating at the same time
Moving to a new host and I figured it would be a great time to upgrade Geeklog. I have a fresh install of the latest release loaded onto the new host (but I haven't run the install script). I have created a new empty database and I have a database backup ready to go. What is the proper procedure from here? Do I import the database and everything will be running - or do I have to run the install script. Do I have to choose the update database if I have to run the install script? Thanks for your help.

If you are upgrading the version of geeklog, you will need to store the original version of your database and then do an upgrade. You need to know what version you are upgrading from.
If you have a custom theme, you will need to update your theme, so it works with the newer version of geeklog.
