I saw a script here that was 5 years old, however I run an apache web server on OS X and would like a simple backup script to run as a Cron Job.
So that I can create a nice sql backup as Geeklog doe but automatically. ???

The script may be old but it's working just fine. On geeklog.net and a couple of my own sites. From a cronjob.

It's working on FreeBSD (on geeklog.net) and a couple of Linux boxes. I don't see why it shouldn't work on Mac OS X. It's a simple shell script, calling a couple of standard command line tools.
