A user submits a user sumission...
Mail never sent, user created but ...
Look at these two pictures http://www.altedunet.co.uk/freya0.jpg
notice the user name and how it is displayed...
and now http://www.altedunet.co.uk/freya1.jpg
what could be causing this... ?

in your first pic, everything looks normal.
in your second pic, the user name is admin and a password is supplied--I assume your issue is with username and password? that's probably your browser's password manager doing that. It may be supplying your username, admin, and your password simply becuause it looks like a form that utilizes those fields. See what I mean?
re the email not being sent: I dunno.

Yeah, I've said many times the user profile editor shouldn't use "password" and "email" as field names several times because it causes problems with autocomplete forms in most browsers. But the powers that be don't think that's Geeklog's problem.

For now, I would suggest disabling auto-complete. If your using Firefox, you can goto this page http://kb.mozillazine.org/Disabling_autocomplete_-_Firefox and look there to disable it. In IE, its more direct and not hard to find in the advaced area of the options.
