Move top of Right Column to top of page on homepage

Is there a way to move the blocks in the third column on the home page to the top of the page- even with the top of the header?
Saw this type of layout in the generic joomla, and like the layout.
(by the way - joomla does not seem nearly as functional as geeklog. Go geeklog!)
