can you set up a google search to run in geeklog that specifically searches pages of your website before a geeklog conversion?

I really need some help here. Maybe it's a stupid question, but I just need someone out there to point me in the right direction, I guess. I converted my website to Geeklog about 3 months ago. I have years or pregeeklog pages that I need to allow my users to search. I was hoping to us a Google search to do that. Is that possible? Is there another, better way to do it? ANY help would be welcome!
Thx in advance.

Is Google already searching your site? If not, then you need to adjust your robots.txt file to allow them to do so. If they are crawling your site, and you want them to search other areas, make sure the links to those areas work. You can try visiting Google Analytics and also google.com/addurl adding your website to this link will notify them of your website. There are alot of things you can do to drive traffic and searches to your site. You just have to notify them and wait for them to crawl your site. Once they do start, they will be visiting your site at least a few times a week, provided content is changing and updated/archived. Not really that much to do there. As for crawling your old stuff, provided that you have links from some place high up on your domain list of links, Google will crawl them too. You may want to put an alternative search box that Google has, so that users can search your site directly using Google. The easiest example I can give without looking to far would to visit my site, here or the link is on the bottom of my message and look at the Google search box. It has two options for search. Try it out on both. The search box on the right is the standard Geeklog search box. Each one has their unique characteristics. Hope this a bit Michael BTW, I had to adjust this post because it kept getting tagged by the spam robot. Good to know its working.
