HI,
I'm trying to set up geeklog on a wamp server thye server looks OK but when you go to any page of the geeklog site a page comes up that sy's what you would expect if there was no database connection
i.e. "this page cannot be displayed at the moment please come back later" or words to that effect

any pointers ?

well that is odd,
I set root debug but still get the same page up and no error log ???

Check your web server's error log, I'll bet it has a more descriptive error message that might give a clue to the problem.
