I've been trying to migrate an existing geeklog website to a new server. I've following the previous dialog concerning migration but I'm getting issues with plugins that existed with the original site that is not installed on the new site/server. For example: 2 - session_start() [function.session-start]: open(C:\DOCUME~1\BIGDAD~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\php\session\sess_v6pm9obtt13puh3om05i4o2em1, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) @ C:\archangelreport\plugins\captcha\functions.inc line 49
In this casee it has to do with the "captcha" plugin, previously it was another plugin apparently having to do with the database that I migrated from this site is looking for the plugin.
Do I have to have the exact same plugins configured for the new site, then migrate the original database into the new?

Thanks,

Lee

The information about active (i.e. installed and enabled) plugins is stored in the database. So of course Geeklog will then try to load those plugins when you call up the site.

So either migrate the plugin's code, too, or disable the plugins and handle them later.

bye, Dirk
