i get the following error when i click on system options in media gallery

BTW on a differnt note, where do users upload the files?

i am using GL1.4.1

To solve the open_basedir issue, see this thread at gllabs:

If a user has permissions to upload to an album, they will have the same Admin dropdown select box you see (with fewer options of course) at the main Media Gallery index page. They can select 'Add Media' from that box.
