Delayed. On the private message board I've posted all the delay reasons, most of them due to my wife's health. (Two trips to the hospital in the last three months.) I expect to have the feature coding done in another week or so and then there will be private testing probably though the end of January. I might make a wide beta after that depending on how the testing goes. And now that I've said I'd get something done in a week, a Satellite will land on my house or something.

Family comes first, we can wait. Or at least I can wait I can't speak for others.

I am a couple days away from uploading recurring events to my test site. It is not full featured but I am not happy with the form's layout and want some opinions. Once that is online I'll go back and fix the stuff recurring events broke (daily event views, personal calendars, feeds, and the phpblock) and then hopefully we'll be ready for a broader beta to shake out the remaining bugs.

Still no release date. But I expect to have it downloadable for others to test (the new functionality, the installer, and hopefully someone will update the language files) in the coming few weeks. Once it is released I expect to take some time away from it to finish a few other things I've been putting off. Then I'll go back and add some features that weren't bountied.

Any updates?

I am at the point where I either need to begin integrating a useful calendar (such as google services) to our geeklog site or....

I found this string of interesting posts about a geeklog calendar upgrade, enhancement,...

Our small non-profit would definitely be interested in something that is printable, has recurring events, has muliple master calendars (groups),...

I hope all is going better for you and yours jmucchiello...truly.

Are you ready to be a geeklog HERO and release a version of this new calendar?

It is not ready yet. I've had several personal life issues delay my work on it (documented elsewhere). At the moment it is not in a state where I could send out beta copies. I'll post when it's ready for testing by a larger group than the current bounty testers.

The RSVP code allows users to add a short comment to their attendance response.

I'm sorry but it is still not ready for external testing.

Add me to the list of people hoping for an updated calendar plugin. I am kicking myself for upgrading at lunarpages' suggestion. My mother's english class calendar no longer displays days or months, only numbers! Thank you for making a terrific calendar plugin that even my computer illiterate mother figured out how to use (albeit after seemingly lots of coaching)

I hate to sound apologetic all the time but having bronchitis for 3+ weeks has really made progress come to a halt. It's coming. Some day. That's all I'll say.

Maybe you need someone to lend a hand to help get it finished. I understand you have had some issues but we have put up a bounty on this. I don't know about others but at least I think we need something in the near future.

I'm currently retesting a bunch of stuff finished earlier to make sure it still works. Currently the submission queue stuff and personal calendars are broken.

I am well aware of and extremely embarrassed about the bounty. Should I release a version without all the promised features? Unfortunately the most requested feature "recurring events" is the missing feature. But if you "want something" that's what I've got. Get a consensus among your fellow bountiers if that's what your want. Or ask Dirk to return your money. I don't know what else to tell you. I can't release what isn't done.

I would rather have a good quality product. My needs are categories or group calendars. Currently I don't believe anyone else is working on a Calendar Plugin.

Again if you are overwhelmed or need to work on personal issues I'm sure there's someone out there that is willing to help.

Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

RSVPs with "notes" already exist and are among the features I need to retest. Adding actual GL comments to events is an idea for the NEXT version. Yeah, it should be easy but I don't want to add features now.

Categories are on the retest list. They work on the test site and just need a few tweaks.
