need advise & help localhoast install
I need some help on installing Geeklog on one of my local machines for experimenting and checking out geeklog. Here is what I have: Ubuntu Linux 7.10 Desktop with apache2, php5, mysql installed with public directory tree at
TREE
/var/www
Joomla
wordpress
geeklog
I access the first two in my browser with http://localhost/wordpress or http://localhost/joomla
I would like to be able to do the same with geeklog so I can experiment, play with it and test
plugins and templates until I get it the way I want, and make any changes before I install it
on my remote website. I have not installed Geeklog on my local machine yet.
Any advise or help would be appreciated. I am not sure if there is anything special that I have
to do.
TIA
Mel

I have already done that, But I want to be able to test it on my home network. My computers all run linux except for one windows computer. I keep different programs on different computers for different things, But like to be able to access them from one central machine to do my work without having to install anything on my production computer. hence my SOHO (Home Network).
