Hey team,

How do I change the text in the field under the users name as shown in the text at the left of the arrow in this picture?

Wasn't there something in the user profile under admin log in that could do it or was that only on older versions?

Is that from a Geeklog powered site? You could have a look at the language file.
Dutch Geeklog sites about camping/hiking:
www.kampeerzaken.nl | www.campersite.nl | www.caravans.nl | www.caravans.net

Yes - Geeklog.

We upgraded to the latest version and now we can still see the names that were changed under the older version, but cannot change any in the new version as it is not an option under USERS.

I'll check the language file, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for??

Actually, I think it's a forum post. Try the settings tag in Forum admin.

My bad - yes, it is a forum post running under geeklog. There is a stetting for Rank, but there are only five options, and they are fixed for all users, based on the number of posts. In the older version of Geeklog (we did not update the forum plug in) we were able to change the text that showed in RANK for any individual user.

Thanks for the quick replies - I'll snoop around and see what I can find, but I'm lost really, on where to look.

a few options:

* config.php of the Forum plugin
* language file of the Forum plugin

From what I've found so far by doing a file comparison it looks like it is a gl_showtopic.php file change with maybe a few other files involved too.

You should post on www.portalparts.com where Blaine, the author of the forum plugin, supports his plugins.
