Stories that have comments do not show the comments below the stories.
The line, Comments (2) Trackbacks (0) is grayed out and does not link. The only way is to go the comments in the block "What's New/ Comments" and go to it from there.

I also noticed that comments do not register in the TOPICS list. They all read (name of topic) (#stories)/0

I am using version 1.4.1 and Chameleon.

Help please.
Good things come to those who wait. Of course it does not hurt to to work like hell while you are waiting.

Is this a fresh install or an upgrade from an earlier version (and if so, which version)? Also, did you try without Chameleon and with the Professional theme instead?

bye, Dirk

Fresh install.
Comments do work with Professional Theme. This seems to be a Chameleon issue.

Is there any way to have the comments visable by default?

Thanks

I believe the comment link in stories is fixed in SVN, but in featuredstorytext.thtml, and storytext.thtml if you replace:

Text Formatted Code
<p>{plugin_itemdisplay}{comments_with_count} {trackbacks_with_count}</p>

with

Text Formatted Code
{start_comments_anchortag}{comments_with_count}{end_comments_anchortag} {start_trackbacks_anchortag}{trackbacks_with_count}{end_trackbacks_anchortag}

that should fix your problem.

I don't think that is referring to comments, but to draft or "waiting to be approved" stories. I could be mistaken though.

Hope this helps!

Eric

Thanks Eric, that did the trick. I did, however place the PHP snippet between the <p> </p> tags. I assumed that is what you meant.
