Will there be any support for Shibboleth?

Hi all,
I'm trying to integrate another third-party application, a journal system, into my site. The system has its own system of login, but they do support LDAP, which I hear may eventually become integrated into GL.
However, a developer there told me that they were on their way to supporting Shibboleth, which he said would be even better and would support single-sign on entry for multiple connected sites.
Has there been any consideration for supporting Shibboleth?

I'm not aware of anyone working on support for Shibboleth. In theory, it should be easy to plug in any form of remote authentication.
An early version of an LDAP module was posted on geeklog-devel in March. I've tested a later version on my employer's intranet and it worked there. That version hasn't been released yet, though.
bye, Dirk
