Hi,

I managed to move my GL site to a new server and a new domain name (following directions in the Wiki here). Everything works fine except for two of plugins I use: File Management and Media Gallery.

I am unable to download any files from File Management. The URL that gets populated looks like this:
http://localhost/geeklogcvs/filemgmt_data/files/NarcConvert_Demo.zip

For Media Gallery, none of my pictures appear but the captions and comments do.

The new site it at http://www.spazjunior.com. The old site was http://www.spazthecat.com (it currently is still online at http://old.spazthecat.com).

Thanks,

Andy

You should review the filemgmt settings: Admin->Filemgmt->Settings. Specifically the URL and Path settings.

It sounds to me that you forgot to copy over the Media Gallery public_html/mediagallery/mediaobjects/* directories and files from your old site to you new site. Also, the public_html/filemgmt_data/* directories and files too.

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. The path in the File Management plugin did the trick. I had forgotten about those settings.

I tried copying the old Media Objects directory and that didn't make a difference. Are Media Gallery images stored in a directory or in the database?

Thanks,

Andy

The Media Gallery images are stored in the directories under public_html/mediagallery/mediaobjects/. There are several directories under this one that holds all the images.

If you have copied all the directories over, make sure you have the permissions set properly so the web server has access.

You might double check the paths in the Media Gallery config.php file, but if you had them set to the defaults, you shouldn't need to change anything there.

Thanks, I did find stuff in an older backup of the mediaobjects directory. Not sure what happened to the one I was working with:/
