Hey I was wondering if there is a way to allow people to upload files, but prevent them from downloading them or other peoples uploads. I would be content right now with removing the 'My Downloads' from the Upper Navi Bar. But if there is an easy way to adjust permissions that would be preferred.

You can restrict access to categories to users in a certain group.

To remove the link from the menu, you will need to edit the plugin's functions.inc file. Find the function plugin_getmenuitems_filemgmt and remove it or comment it out.

Yea i knew you could restrict access to categories but I didnt want to have people download at all. But the removing of the link was just what i was looking for. You're a rockstar man thanks!

I ended up changing the upload folder to a folder outside of the html tree, and wanted to be able to remove that my download thing.
