Hi,
I just upgraded my Geeklog 1.4.1 to Geeklog 1.5.0. The upgrade procedure is really great. Must easier than post 1.4.0 days. I also downloaded Classic-V1-150.rar
I am encountering the following problem with Classic Theme (I know that it is not support by this team but would like to ask anyway):
I am getting this error message when I try to change the theme using geeklog configuration::
Template Error: filename: file /home/domain.com/public/layout/Classic/blockfooter-config.thtml does not exist.
Halted.
Also, when I click "My Account", the layout is all flushed to the right column - except for "Username and Password" Tab which looks ok.
Is anyone else encountering these problems. Your feedback on how to fix this would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

Try to copy these files from the Professional theme, and change them to your needs if you like.
Dutch Geeklog sites about camping/hiking:

Hi Bee Wee
Thank you for responding. I tried clearing the cache and cookies and the problem seemed to have been fixed for now. I am not sure if that was the cause.
I am now encountering another error:
When I click "My Account", I get this error message:
An error has occurred:
2 - editpreferences(Date/TimeZone.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory @ /home/domain.com/public/usersettings.php line 539.
This is followed by a long long list of code.
Any idea why this is happening? I am running on:
Centos 4.6
MYSQL 4.1.20-3.RHEL4.1.el4_6.1
php-4.3.9-3.22.9.x86_64
Also, as admin, I cannot delete a user or create a new user. I am able to create a story though. (I will enter this new error in a new topic for discussion). Any idea what is wrong? My upgrade went through without any problems.
Thanks

You're missing the PEAR package Date/TimeZone. We're shipping it with Geeklog, so I assume you've set 'have_pear' to use the PEAR packages installed on your server - which don't seem to include this package.
So try switching to have_pear = false. It's now in the Configuration Admin panel:
Configuration > Geeklog > Site > Pear > Have Pear?
bye, Dirk

You almost scared me. I thought I missed something when updating the themes. Then I looked at the demo and the archives to verify these files were all in there. Glad to hear that it wasn't a theme issue

Dear Dirk
Thank you! You're the MAN!
I checked and PEAR was set to true. I have set it to false. Any "My Account" works now.
I am encountering an intermittent problem which occurs on and off when ever I make changes to the Configuration. The error message is:
Template Error: filename: file /home/domain.com/publicc/layout/Classic/blockfooter-config.thtml does not exist.
Halted.
For this instance the above error message occurred when I made the change on PEAR from "True" to "False" and then clicked "Save Information".
When I refresh the screen, the error message disappears. When I go back to check the setting for PEAR, the setting has been updated,
Can you tell what is causing this error message to pop out.
Thank you.
Barry
