I just upgraded my Geeklog 1.4.1 to 1.50 without any errors.. or so I thought...
Mostly, it is working with some exceptions..
I cannot delete any existing users or create new users.
Checking my access.log, I see:
I can, however, create stories, staticpages, groups, etc..
I have searched Geeklog on this issue but don't see any issues raised for GL1.5.0. Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks

I am running on:
Centos 4.6
MYSQL 4.1.20-3.RHEL4.1.el4_6.1
php-4.3.9-3.22.9.x86_64
Mostly, it is working with some exceptions..
I cannot delete any existing users or create new users.
Checking my access.log, I see:
Tue 01 Jul 2008 20:22:25 (2@110.114.28.27) - User Admin tried to illegally delete user 3 and failed CSRF checks.

I have checked against the theme on the demo and found no issues with the theme. Try clearing your cache and stored files in history of the browser.

Dear Dirk and Michael
Thank you for responding.
I did as Dirk suggested - change the theme to Professional - and was able to delete and add users.
I did as Michael suggested - cleared history and cache - and changed the theme back to Classic. I continued to encounter the error message:
Cleared history and cache again but was not able to create or delete user account.
Michael, I also tested out Classic theme the demo_geeklog site and it didn't have this problem. I will try and create a new Geeklog site with Classic and see if this problem occurs.
I am a little worried as we use Classic as our theme and we have lots of existing users. If we were to move to GL1.5.0., this would be a problem for us.
Any idea what could be wrong would really be appreciated.
Thanks for your support.

Well, the from error message it should be pretty obvious: There's a file missing.
There were a few last-minute changes in the themes rather late in the 1.5.0 release cycle that may not have it made into the copy of Classic you're using. Compare the contents of the functions.php with the one from Professional. Notice how that file (blockfooter-config.thtml) is referenced there. Copy the missing file over from Professional or modify one of the Classic ones accordingly.
bye, Dirk

Thank you again Dirk...
Strange, I did look in the professional theme yesterday and didn't see the blockfooter-config.thtml file there. Perhaps the late night didn't help.
Thank you for pointing it out. The above error message is 'fixed'.
Unfortunately adding the missing file did not help me fix the add/delete/amend users problem that I am still encountering.
I am using Classic-V1-150.rar that I downloaded from www.spacequad.com.
Ironmax, is there another place that I can download your working version from?
Any help would be useful.
Thank you again.

Barry,
The only thing I can suggest now is to redownload the archive and verify that everything is there against the professional theme. However, if when using the professional, you are having the same issue, its probably not the cause of the theme itself.
If this still causes you grief, PM me with the details of a temp account for admin orivs and I will have a look on your site.
Michael

Thank you Michael... greatly appreciate your offer.
I think I found problem. It is a missing syntax string from Classic/admin/user/edituser.thtml
Line 55-57 shows:
<input type="submit" value="{lang_save}" name="mode"{xhtml}>
<input type="submit" value="{lang_cancel}" name="mode"{xhtml}>
{delete_option}
I included the following in below line 57:
<input type="hidden" name="{gltoken_name}" value="{gltoken}"{xhtml}>
That seems to have solved the problem. :banana:
Thank you Dirk and Michael for your unfailing support.
Bless you guys.
