So I've had to start setting up a website several times as I've run into the same problem twice now. Luckily each time I do I find a different/better way to implement what I want... until I run into this.

My websites keep going blank. Nothing sent to the browser.

I was tinkering around setting up custom user registration.

I have user registration setup as submission for admin approval.

The only extra field I have when signing up is some radio options to request website status. I have an extra table "gl_zbtinfo" to keep track of extra information as pertains to the fraternity, such as fraternity nickname, class, when initiated, dues, etc, as well as a field to keep track of what status the user requested when signing up (an ENUM field). I got the custom registration setup the way I want it, and the CUSTOM_userCreate() function to check if a valid university email address has been entered when selecting the recruit status. That code works, as it was working fine in the previous setup until that went blank.

I added {customfields} to all the appropriate templates as directed in lib_custom.php.

I had the forum plugin 2.6 installed. Last time I had phpbb bridge installed, so I doubt that has anything to do with it.

I use wordpad to edit lib_common.php, and to make sure I didn't mess that up, i replaced it and uploaded a new copy. Still no result.

I've tried setting custom registration back to false and that doesn't help. I know some of these seem pointless, but I just can't get anywhere in solving this.

if I set $_CONF['site_enabled'] to false, teh disabled message will display in the browser.
