blogend instead of backend

I keep getting this when I check my rss
Not Found
The requested URL /blogend/geeklog.rss was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
If I type in backend, I get the feed page but no story.
Please help. I'm using GeekLog 1.5 with Dossier theme.

How and where do you do that?
The default is "backend", see Configuration > Geeklog > Syndication > Syndication Output Folder

The path to geeklog.rss is correct in the configuration.
I was tempted to change "backend" to "blogend" lol, but the stories not showing would still be a problem. Both my new stories are intro, no second page, does that matter?

I just lost everything. Maybe the Dossier theme doesn't work with 1.5. I noticed the story title did not display. Maybe that was crucial to the rss thing.
Meanwhile, in the configuration panel, I changed the paths to absolute addresses to match the rss path (thinking that was the problem). When I clicked save, I lost everything. The whole day down the drain. I am sad and tired. Tomorrow, I begin anew.

I just did a fresh install. First thing I did was click on geeklog.rss. I got the original "blogend" not found on this sever notice. Weird. Tomorrow I will add all the plugins back in and the Dossier theme.
I will watch this topic.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure how you could "lose everything". I was looking at your site when it came down with the dreaded Unfortunately, an error has occurred rendering this page. Please try again message.
So you say you changed a path. That probably messed up the config data, but that doen't mean everything is lost. Have a look at that FAQ article (above) and the current featured story for help.
bye, Dirk

Hi Mason,
Did you created the sub-folder /blogend and did you made it writable?

Thank you for links.
If that happens again, I'll know better. It said only I could read it, but I was skittish that others could see it. I saw where I could comment the site down, but I just decided (too quickly) to start from scratch.
I should have come back and read further, but I was tired and frustrated. I did try to fix the paths, but nothing seemed wrong. But, I wasn't looking in the right place. I only looked at db_config and siteconfig. I didn't see a just a plain config. That file must be in a folder somewhere and not the root?
I was joking about changing the backend folder name to blogend. I still don't know what's up with that. You can see it at the site by clicking the icon in the address bar.
I'm feeling fresh now, and doing the plugins thing shouldn't take me too long to redo. If no one else has had the path error for the rss feed or knows how to fix it, maybe I can turn it off and make linked one. I'll come back when I get to that point.
Thank you for the prompt replies. I really appreciate it.

I've been doing some topic reading, and I think my problem resembles those of other Fantastico users who have posted here.
My first tack is to notify my ISP and alert them (they might already know) about database errors discovered during Fantastico installations. I'm hoping they can fix things? But if they can't, or if they say it's my responsibility I will need to know some more stuff.
Can you recommend some resources for learning php, MySQL and MyAdmin?
Thanks in advance,
mason

My ISP told me to create a folder called blogend to match the path stated in the error msg:
Not Found
The requested URL /blogend/masonoller.rss was not found on this server.
I did. Then clicking on the address bar icon returned the title but no story.
I went to the configuration admin and renamed the path to:
http://masonoller.com/blogend/masonoller.rss
I now get this msg when clicking the icon in the address bar:
Not Found
The requested URL /blogmasonoller.rss was not found on this server.
Please help.

Under Configuration > Geeklog > Site > Syndication? That should be a path, not a URL.
