Hello,

I can't set blocks only for anonymous (Geeklog 1.5.1). Even if read access is disable for root blocks are always shown too root.

Is it normal or is it a bug?

It pretty much follows from the "Root users have access to everything" idea. So it's a feature, not a bug.

I can see that it has it disadvantages in some situations, though. In fact, the static pages plugin has its own version of COM_getPermSQL so that you can create splash pages that are only shown to anonymous users but not Root users. So this is not a new issue ...

bye, Dirk

Ok it's a choice.

Is it a good idea to have in the future an option in the config to allow to choose if we want roots see blocks?

If we do it for blocks, we should do it for all objects. In other words, we would need a generic approach. Submit a feature request so we can discuss the technicalities.
