I'm setting up a new website using GL 1.5.1 and I want to use the Pure theme.

I downloaded the "Pure" theme, uploaded it to the /public_html/layout/ directory, and tried to change the site to use the new theme using "Admins Only", "Configuration" and "Theme".

The Pure theme shows up on the drop-down menu along with the standard Professional theme, but when I select Pure and hit "Save Changes" nothing happens. Am I missing something?

Also, where the heck is config.php now? (Can't find it...)

The site in question is new, http://www.donwinner.com

Thanks

Don

Don,

As of Geeklog 1.5, geeklog no longer has a flat static config file. It is now located in the database. Look in your Admin panel for the configuration. Then after you get that screen, click on Theme and then you can see the the area you set for the default theme. You see the top option, dropdown, click on it. Select your theme and then save changes. Then goto My Account and change your theme in your settings. Save it off and then you should be good to go.

Actually, you should change the theme in one of your accounts first.
Test it out!!!
Then change the global setting in configuration.

That worked.

The part that was messing me up was that I had changed the global configuration for the site using the admin functions, but my personal settings for my account were still set for the Professional theme. Once I changed those, it came right up. Still getting used to GL 1.5.1. Thanks.

And after you've set the new theme, do not allow users to choose their own theme, or they'll never see your new theme...
