New Users & Admin Updating Calendar

freakingout
Has anyone experience a problem where after upgrading that certain people cannot join and people from certain computers cannot update the information like in the calendar? I can add a new user and update the calendar from my computer, but my clients cannot add information to the calendar. I am getting several messages from here where people cannot join. Any suggestions would be helpful as I paid someone to move this site to a new server and when they moved it they upgraded GeekLog. Now they are not answering my emails to help resolve this issue. Thanks!

Sorry, but your descriptions is way too vague to be able to provide any help.

For example, "people cannot join": What's the problem? Do they not get the password email? Do they have problems logging in?

When people can't update information - do they get any error messages? If so, which ones?

So please provide more detailed information.

bye, Dirk

Stab in the dark --- Do you have a custom theme that does not have CSRF support?

The client cannot add information to the calendar. It goes through all the step, but gets no error and the information doesn't show on the calendar. We tried both Internet Explorer and Firefox with the same results. When a new user signs up, they get this error: Error You have to enter the same email address in both fields! The fields on the form are Name and Email Address. Yes it is a custom theme we created, along with some other customized features. Help me out by telling me what CSRF support is? Sorry but I know nothing about this and any help would be appreciated.

Have you updated that theme for 1.5? http://www.geeklog.net/docs/theme.html#gltoken

Yes, that certainly sounds like you're using an old theme that's not only missing the token fields for the CSRF protection but also other things. See the theme documentation Joe pointed you to.
