Unable to do DB Backup to upgrade to GL1.5

The following message is displayed when trying to do a Database Backup:
There was an error.
ERROR: Directory /var/www/vhosts/artonegalleryinc.com/httpdocs/config/backups/ is not accessible.
I need to do a backup so I can do an upgrade. And I need the upgrade because GL1.3.7sr1 is now failing us. We are unable to upload and move images on our site - quite frustrating! I'm new to this so please speak slowly - in otherwords, in lehman's terms.

Looks like your hoster is using Plesk and disabled register_globals = on recently. You can dump the database with phpmyadmin. Ask your hoster how to find it, it`s in the hoster's admin dashboard somewhere
